Canada BC Tour

“At her first bleed, she meets her power. During her cycling years, she practices her power. At menopause: she becomes her power”

Sacred Psychology is coming back to British Columbia offering various immersions from June 7th - 15th:

Vancouver

Becoming Cyclically Aware Towards a Wholesome Sagescent Path

Sagescence is the term coined by Jane Hardwicke Collings to denote the psychospiritual initiation aspects of menopause. While peri to menopause is a physiological transition marked by hormonal changes and the cessation of menses, for most folks, the ACTUAL rite of passage of Sagescence is neglected.

From birth, to our first bleed, to our Creatrix/Motherhood we enter a portal of change. This is a profound shift in our bodies, hearts and minds to become the physiologically post menopausal wise woman.

Join us as we gather into a day of interactive learning within a women’s circle, grounding, ritual, guided meditation and conversation. Together, we’ll create the Wisdom of Cycles map.

The purpose is to learn how to practice holding stable awareness, nourishment and wellness through an awakening and remembering of wisdom of cycles.

Stability and Wellness in Wisdom of the Cycles

Steady, paced awareness, reflection and grounding in our embeddedness within the cyclical nature of all life lends to an ever deepening practice. It becomes a self-knowing as we become increasingly awake to our interconnectedness within our own cycles (daily, menstrual and our life stage cycle) as so outside our bodies, the cycles of nature: The seasonal and lunar cycles.

As we share our experiences, we will see the various terrains embodied on the blueprint map of the cycles: Tracking Birth, Growth, Full Bloom, Harvest, Decay, Death and Re-Birth in five different lengths and paces of the daily, seasonal, life stage, menstrual and lunar cycles.

Ritual anchors us into a deeply joyous disciplined practice.

Together, we’ll experience the School of Shamanic Womancraft’s known traditional sequence:

  • Calling ourselves into presence

  • Grounding meditation and invocation

  • Sharing circles

  • Teaching of the Wisdom of the cycles map

  • This is all embedded within Sacred Psychology’s unique integration of depth psychology, somatics with spiritual knowing allowing us to work with these teachings for ourselves or clients if we have them.

COME SAY HELLO!

Who is Tammy and What is Sacred Psychology?

Well, I’m a Sagescent (aka as physiologically post menopausal) mother of four, in an ongoing partnership that is now longer than half my life.

I founded Sacred Psychology as an integrated therapeutic orientation, movement and a budding clinical modality.

As a trained clinical psychological, PhD, a women’s studies graduate, certified yoga teacher, relational psychoanalytic psychotherapist, shamanic womancraft practitioner, menstrual educator and a regular Buddha Dharma practitioner, she believes that body, heart and mind support strengthens and stabilizes women and men.

In the age of technology of communication, with rapid changes in humanity, upskilling our conversational and relational capacity and resilience will offer a heart anchor between the ground and the heavens.

I never would have been able to do all of the above without a huge amount of teachers, guides and all of the above mentioned integrated practices and support. This is not a lone wolf journey.
